Nepali Mobility Solutions Pvt. Ltd. collects information about you when you use our JumJum User App, websites and other online products and services (collectively, the “Services”) and through other interactions and communications you have with us. This Privacy Policy is acknowledged and consented to by using the JumJum App (Hereinafter “App”). Before using this App, please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using our App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions of the Policy.
Data protection is a matter of trust and your privacy is important to us. We shall therefore only use your name and other information which relates to you in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy. We will only collect information where it is necessary for us to do so and we will only collect information if it is relevant to our dealings with you. The personal information that we collect are used for providing and improving the service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
Nepal Mobility Solutions (“Company”) product JumJum (“JumJum”) is dedicated to safeguarding the privacy of its customers. JumJum recognizes and respects users’ concerns regarding their privacy, confidentiality, and security of information supplied to JumJum through its App.
JumJum uses cookies, log filed, pixel tags, local storage objects and other tracking technologies to automatically collect when users access and receive services from the App. JumJum may receive the user’s personal information in its capacity as a transportation service provider, which may include but is not limited to the user’s name, address, contact information, location, date of birth, biometric information (including but not limited to fingerprint and facial recognition), physical address and GPS location. JumJum collects this data in accordance with statutory and regulatory regulations, as well as internal procedural and operating standards and bylaws. JumJum’s internal procedures, operational rules, and bylaws are all well-documented.
JumJum collects user’s personal information online primarily to deliver a more personalized experience for our users. JumJum makes every effort to avoid collecting data that is excessive or irrelevant when doing so. JumJum, a technology platform that facilitates transportation services, keeps records and information safe and secure in accordance with its policy and in accordance with statutory provisions and directions for the period required by it.
The data collected by JumJum is kept in electronic files on JumJum’s system, as well as authorized archives. JumJum does not in any way enable unauthorized access to any of the information it stores. JumJum ensures further protection of the collected data by including a confidentiality clause in its agreements with the service providers doing business with us, requiring them to keep personal information secure and confidential and not to divulge it to outsiders unless required by law, a cord order, or an explicit instruction from JumJum.
To avoid any loss or damage to the collected information, JumJum uses best efforts to implement adequate operational, physical, electronic, procedural, and technical measures against any unauthorized access or breach of data security. JumJum, on the other hand, will not be held responsible in any way for any default. The following are some of the most important characteristics of an information security system:
JumJum uses firewalls, encryption, and data leakage prevention technologies to protect information;
JumJum audits all service providers and execute non-disclosure agreements before using their services;
JumJum continuously monitors its physical and technical environment for vulnerabilities and potential intrusions, and to implement controls to identify and address any concern related to data protection.
JumJum has a comprehensive documented information security policy and procedures to ensure that the information provided to it is reasonably secure, available, and of assured quality.
JumJum may use the collected information for the following purposes:
Provision of the Services: JumJum may use the collected information about the users to provide its services through the App.
Email Communications By completing the registration process, users agree to our use of the registration information and other information that is collected to send email communications, including advertisements and other promotional materials from third party sponsors.
Location Information: JumJum collects your location information to provide you with a transportation service. This includes your real-time location information when you request a ride and during the ride. This allows JumJum to connect you with the nearest available driver and provide accurate estimated arrival times. Throughout your ride, we continue to track your location to ensure smooth and efficient journey.
Transaction Information: JumJum collects information related to your ride, including ride history, details about pick-up and drop-off locations, and fare details. JumJum uses your transaction details to calculate fares accurately based on factors such as distance, duration, and any applicable surcharges.
Communications: JumJum use your communication preferences and interactions with our support team to keep you informed and address your needs.
Device Information: JumJum may collect information about your device, such as internet protocol (IP) address, duration of every visit/session, the internet device identity (ID) and other device information including manufacturer, model, and operating system of the device that you use to access the App or JumJum’s website to tailor the app’s performance and appearance to your device. Device related data assists us in ensuring that you receive updates and improvements that are compatible with your device.
User Profiles: JumJum may associate information that has been collected about the use of services to create the user’s profile that JumJum may update from time to time. By providing details such as your name, profile picture, and contact information, we can create a more personalized and user-friendly experience for you.
Account Management: JumJum may use user information to administer the user account, respond to user inquiries, fulfill user requests, and send users administrative communications about the services.
Investigations: JumJum may use user information to detect, investigate and defend against fraudulent or unlawful activity and violations of our commercial terms.
JumJum may share the collected user information in the following circumstances:
If it is legally required or if it is demanded by any regulatory body, court, tribunal, law enforcement agencies, government bodies.
As a part of merger or any business transfers.
If it is necessary to respond to claims asserted against us.
To our professional advisers, auditors, and insurers.
To our partners and affiliate companies for various uses including but not limited marketing promotion and loyalty programs.
To the ones with whom we have our co-promotional arrangements.
The Application is not intended for individuals under the age of 18, of unsound mind or with intellectual disability.
Without limiting JumJum’s other rights under these terms and conditions, if user commits a breach of any of the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy in any way, JumJum may take any action it deems appropriate to deal with the breach, including suspending the user’s access to the App, prohibiting the user from accessing the App, locking devices using the user’s IP address from accessing the App.
JumJum may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. Revised Privacy Policy shall apply from the date of the publication of the same on this App.
This Privacy Policy shall be regulated by the Privacy Act, 2075 (2018) of Nepal and other relevant prevailing laws of Nepal and the terms of this Privacy Policy shall be understood and construed in accordance with it. The Courts of Kathmandu in Nepal shall have exclusive jurisdiction and venue over any action relating to the subject matter of this Agreement, and each of the parties hereto submits to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of such courts for the purposes of any such action.
Email correspondence made to JumJum is considered a record and will be kept for as long as the law requires. Unless required by law, senders’ name and addresses are not added to a mailing list or released to third parties without their consent. JumJum App support employees may monitor email messages for system troubleshooting and maintenance needs.
